Motorcyclists in SYTRAMORWA, in the Eastern Province visited Kibungo memorial site and gave an aid of Rwf 90.000 to help in the maintenance of the site.
SYTRAMORWA leadership said that they had visited many memorial sites with the aim of learning more about the genocide history as youths who are the future leaders of the nation.
“We decided to go across the whole district to help the youths who were still very young during the 1994 genocide get to know more about it”, said Aloys Rwabarinda from the group.
“We believe this will help the youths doing this job know the history that befall the country and therefore help never happen again”, added on Rwabalinda.
The IBUKA representative in Ngoma Samson Gihana said that this was very good for all the youths in motorcycling since the genocide took place when most of them were still young and other not yet born
“These youths should know more about the genocide, how it was started, stopped and how far the nation is in rebuilding itself”, said Rwabalinda.
These youths said that knowing such history will help them fight people who undermine the genocide, and those with any genocide ideologies.
